Microsoft dynamics 365 is a cloud-based Intelligent business application. It is a software as a service (SaaS) application that combines the CRM and ERP of previous versions of Microsoft Dynamics with additional features. Dynamics 365 was built to accelerate the digital transformation for organizations that are ready to take the next step in business intelligence and automation.

It is fully integrated. Dynamics 365 finally connects ERP and CRM with one another. Later, companies usually had separate ERP and CRM systems. Dynamics 365 combines ERP and CRM into one cloud service with multiple apps to manage all your core business functions, including Sales, Customer Service, Finance, Field Service, Operations, Marketing and Project Service Automation.

After Releasing Dynamics 365 in 2016, Microsoft is continuedly offering significant upgrades and adding new features in Dynamics 365, let’s take a look at some new or changed features in Microsoft Dynamics 365.

Dynamics 365 for Outlook

Dynamics 365 also enables greater connection and integration with Microsoft Outlook. Although the Dynamics App for Outlook was first released in 2015, it received substantial improvements in the new Dynamics 365 release. The new app remains on the right side of the user’s screen and can display recipient lists, related records, new records and can also embed any templates or attachments users can also view information about email, contact, company or appointment recipient. Users will be able to work more efficiently, integrating CRM within their email applications.

 

 

 

 

Integration with Excel

Microsoft provides a seamless interrogation of Dynamics 365 with excel. Microsoft has now enhanced this feature to be more user-friendly. Users can now use the ‘Open in Excel’ function anywhere in the screen. This will create the excel template together with the add-in. This template helps the user to edit, insert, and possibly delete the records within excel.

 

 

Editable Grids

Another new feature sure to be a big hit. With editable grids functionality, editing records is now much faster and easier. Dynamics 365 users can now make in-line edits in both desktop and mobile versions. It also supports JavaScript, grouping, dragging columns, and a much more. The user experience becomes much more streamlined and less tedious, and customer management is improved. PowerApps

Microsoft Dynamics 365 supports integration with Microsoft PowerApps. PowerApps is a service for Technical and non-technical users to build their custom business apps for multiple device i.e. mobile devices, tablets, and the web without any coding. These developed by you, your organization, or by the client to augment the product’s Capability. For example, you might build a PowerApps for your simple purchase process to accept or cancel PO and Invoices.

Now when creating an app through PowerApps, choose either Canvas app or a Model-driven app. Both apps can access your data and logic in CDS for Apps. In addition to server-side logic, updated app building capabilities enable apps to be quickly developed including light mobile apps which field-based staff can use to collect data and create new processes that will connect across Dynamics 365 and other Microsoft cloud products.

 

 

 

 

Power BI

This offers a new preview feature for proactive notifications around operational issues to troubleshoot issues that include for failing plugins and workflows.
